What's this about Philadelphia?
Yeah, I gripe and moan and complain. I've got that right. However...
Eight things that I really like about Philly and will definitely miss someday:
1. Reading Terminal Market!
2. Easy access to Utrecht, Blick, Artist & Craftsman.
3. Murals, some of the best murals in the country, and hundreds of them. This includes all those sparkly mosaics that are everywhere.
4. Trees. For a major city the tree population is pretty good. Maybe this is why I have taken to painting trees lately. Now I want to know their names.
5. The street-level architectural detail is amazing.
6. Proximity to New York City without paying New York City rents.
7. Some of the nicest people you will ever hope to meet live here.
8. This place is full of historic stone buildings. Made from real live rocks.
